Dennis Wagenaar

Dennis Wagenaar is a Research Fellow at the Disaster Analytics for Society Lab (DASL) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU)’s Asian School of the Environment and the Earth Observatory of Singapore. His specializes in flood and tropical cyclone risk assessments. Prior to joining the university he was a consultant at Deltares where he carried out many cost-benefit analyses for proposed flood risk reduction interventions.

David Lallemant

David Lallemant is an Associate Professor and heads the Disaster Analytics for Society Lab (DASL) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU)’s Asian School of the Environment and the Earth Observatory of Singapore. His research focuses on developing analytical tools to quantify climate and multi-hazard risks, and promote resilient communities. Prior to joining NTU, David was a research engineer at Stanford University, where he also co-founded the Stanford Urban Resilience Initiative.

Jeanette Choong

Jeanette is currently pursuing her PhD at the Disaster Analytics for Society Lab (DASL) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU)’s Asian School of the Environment and the Earth Observatory of Singapore. Her research focuses on incorporating equity considerations in climate and disaster risk analyses.

Lena Nur

Lena Nur is an Independent Consultant and a Research Associate with ODI’s Global Risks and Resilience Programme. She researches and advises on policies and programmes related to disaster risk management and financing for resilience. She has informed and evaluated climate and disaster risk finance instruments and delivery mechanisms at micro, meso and sovereign levels. This includes approaches such as parametric insurance, adaptive social protection, and anticipatory action that link climate and weather information with rapid availability of funding to enable timely action.

Belinda Hewitt

Belinda’s work at ADB focuses on enhancing the resilience of infrastructure, cities and communities in Asia and the Pacific. Belinda’s background is in engineering, GIS, and climate and disaster risk. Over the last twelve years she has worked closely with public and private sector, NGOs and international organizations to deliver climate and disaster risk assessments; resilient infrastructure projects and strategies; and mapping and information management support for humanitarian responses across Africa, Asia and the Pacific.
