The transmission channels of perishables like fruits and vegetables from producers to consumers in developing countries need a revamp to provide benefits to all involved.
Mr. Siddiq processes and administers loan and technical assistance projects in the agriculture and natural resources sector. Prior to joining ADB in 1998, he was a visiting scientist at the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center in Mexico and a pre-doctoral fellow at the International Water Management Institute in Sri Lanka. Mr. Siddiq also worked as consultant for the World Bank and bilateral agencies.
