Alan’s work is at the intersection of human behaviour, finance and improving government services. He consults and conducts research internationally, mainly in the Asia-Pacific region, working with organisations including the Asian Development Bank and World Bank to promote insight and a better understanding of complex systems.

Based in New Zealand, Alan obtained a Bachelor degree in finance and accounting, a Master in public policy and management at the University of London, and is professionally qualified as a chartered accountant.
