The pandemic-driven surge in data collection offers major opportunities, and some risks, for the reopening of tourism in the region.
Aleli Rosario is a Senior Economics Officer with the Regional Cooperation and Integration division of the Economic Research and Regional Cooperation Department of the Asian Development Bank. She has years of research experience and work on various technical assistance projects. Her areas of involvement include regional cooperation and integration, trade facilitation, tourism, aging, macroeconomics, and development indicators. Prior to working with ADB, she worked at the National Economic and Development Authority of the Philippines handling social development planning and projects on education, social welfare and development, and housing. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Statistics and Master’s degree in Economics at the University of the Philippines.
