Bas is a port consultant based in Vietnam and in charge of the APAC region for the engineering company Royal HaskoningDHV. He has particular interest in helping ports to become ‘smarter’: leveraging new technologies to improve the operational and environmental performance. Bas has been heavily involved in a number of port development projects in the Pacific in different capacities, most notably as the co-author of Smart Ports in the Pacific.
