Bimbika she supports the integration of gender into operations across Central West Asia. Prior to joining ADB in January 2024, she led the gender, disability and social inclusion team at the Australia-Indonesia Partnership for Economic Development (PROSPERA) in Indonesia for six years. She has worked on global gender research programs at the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) and consulted for various organizations in Nepal, Vanuatu and the UK. Bimbika holds a PhD in Development Studies and an MSc in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science, UK and a BA in Economics and Environmental Studies from Macalester College, US. She is a Nepali citizen.
