Cecilia De Castro
Cecile joined ADB in 2012 as the Information Coordinator (Environment) at the Information Resources and Services Unit, OAS. In 2014 she transferred to East Asia Department as the Associate Safeguards Officer at the Safeguards Unit, EAOD. She is now with the Private Sector Transaction Support Division, PSOD since 2017, where she is part of the team ensuring that potential environmental impacts from private sector transactions are avoided, minimized or mitigated throughout the project cycle. Prior to this, she worked as a Senior Technical Staff for the Development Academy of the Philippines and had previously worked for foreign-funded projects and the private sector. Cecile has a B.S. Biology (major in Ecology) from the University of the Philippines, Los Baños, and a M.S. in Environmental Science and Ecosystem Management from De La Salle University.
