Chimi Thonden has more than 20 years of experience in the area of international education development in South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Pacific and the United States. She currently leads ADB’s education sector projects in the Pacific, which include basic education, tertiary education, and technical and vocational education training. In the past, Ms. Thonden has worked with USAID, developing and managing large-scale education programs in Indonesia as well as education-in-conflict programming in Nepal.
