Dustin S. Schinn

Climate Change Specialist, ADB Climate Change and Sustainable Development Department

Dustin is the regional climate anchor for ADB’s East Asia Department, where he provides quality assurance and strategic advice to mainstream climate-related risks and opportunities in investment loans. He also manages several technical assistance projects in Mongolia and the People’s Republic of China on climate-smart mining, methane emission reduction, and climate change adaptation planning. Prior to joining ADB, Dustin worked for over 10 years at UNDP, GEF and the World Bank where he developed and managed implementation of climate change adaptation and climate-security projects in the Middle East and Anglophone Africa. He holds a B.Sc. in Soil Science and Hydrology from the University of Potsdam, Germany, a Master of Environmental Management in Climate Change Economics from Yale and a certificate in Leading with Finance from Harvard Business School Online. Dustin published scientific articles in soil science, hydrology and climate change finance.
