Husnain Fateh Ahmad, is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Sewanee: the University of the South. Prior to that, he was an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Lahore University of Management Science. He obtained his PhD in Economics from the University of Iowa, USA. He is an applied microeconomist whose research applies techniques from theoretical as well as, empirical and experimental economics to understand issues relevant to development. His research on auction theory and energy economics is published in academic journals, while his on-going work focuses on the effect of information provision on individual behavior in realms of air pollution and family planning. He has also used field and lab experiments to study individual decision making in the presence of salient identity and contextual primes.
