In addition to general management responsibilities he is ADB's Chief Procurement Officer representing ADB at the MDB Heads of Procurement forum. He leads the MDB working group on sustainable procurement. Prior to taking on this role he was the Director of the procurement division overseeing projects in the Central, West and South Asia regions. He has held a number of roles within ADB including leading ADB's corporate procurement team, as Secretary to ADB's procurement committee. Before joining ADB he worked in numerous countries including Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Cambodia and the Philippines both implementing procurement and advising on procurement reform and professionalization programs. He has been working on procurement of infrastructure for 35 years. He Holds a Graduate Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply and a master's of science degree in procurement.
