Prosumers consume electricity, and generate it too. They can sell surplus power to the national grid or save it for later use.
Reihana is an international development specialist working on energy and power systems. She has been supporting ADB efforts to mainstream gender equity and social inclusion approaches in its energy portfolio in South Asia. Reihana joined the University of Melbourne’s Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering as a Senior Research Fellow in 2015, undertaking research on energy technology innovation and its social and gender and development implications for developing Asia. She is an Executive Committee member of the Melbourne Energy Institute, where Reihana is currently establishing a center of excellence in this space.
