Sanjay brings over 15 years of direct PPP experience both from a grantor’s and a sponsor’s perspective. Prior to joining ADB in the Office of Public Private Partnerships, Sanjay worked as a consultant for the World Bank and ADB, based out of Hanoi.  Previously, Sanjay was a Senior Equity Investments Manager with Fannie Mae in the US.  Here, he sourced, structured, and managed nearly $3 billion of equity and mezzanine-loan financing, and implemented a PPP for a $2.4B portfolio in affordable housing.  Prior to Fannie Mae, at Washington DC’s PPP Unit, Sanjay closed nearly $600 million in large-scale transit-oriented developments.  Sanjay started his career with AECOM, a large A/E firm, and led the planning and technical due diligence for many large-scale urban and transport infrastructure projects. Sanjay has an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management, graduate degrees including a Masters in City Planning and a Masters in Transport from Georgia Tech, and a bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
