
Lessons We Can Learn from Thai Engineers
It is often difficult for Thai engineers to work in other countries and for engineers from other countries to work in Thailand, but labor mobility initiatives are underway that could ease restrictions.
Sasiwimon has her research specialization in labor economics and economics of education, particularly on the rate of return to education, female labor supply, and female roles in economic and social development. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as World Development and Applied Economics. She worked as a consultant on human capital development for Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA). Currently, Sasiwimon is an assistant professor at the School of Economics, University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce. She has been awarded "The Outstanding Academic Personnel Award (Social Science) in 2016" from the Association of Private Higher Education Institutions of Thailand.
