Sean M. O’Sullivan

Former Director General, Central and West Asia Department, ADB

Sean was responsible for ADB operations in Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan in sectors including transport, energy, urban services, irrigation, social services, and finance. Prior to this assignment, he was Director General for Operations Services and Financial Management, Deputy Director General of CWRD, Deputy Director General of Strategy and Policy, and Country Director in Uzbekistan. Sean joined ADB in 1987 as a Young Professional and worked as a project team leader and project economist in infrastructure and other sectors.
