To tackle gender biases and imbalances, Nepal is working on a new constitution which aims to give more political opportunities for women, and recognize the important role of women in the transition from fragile state to developing economy.
Sharada Jnawali served as ADB's peacebuilding advisor in Nepal from 2010 to 2015, under ADB's technical assistance projects on fragile and conflict-affected situations. With about 30 years of development experience, she worked with USAID Nepal for over 10 years on planning and managing development projects related to peace process, reconciliation, community mediation, and regional urban development.
