Shawn Hunter is an Industry Fellow (APEC) at Griffith University’s Asia Institute, and an accomplished international development practitioner and researcher. Shawn has 13 years’ experience designing and implementing economic development programs across the Asia-Pacific region with a particular focus on financial inclusion and the digital economy. Much of his career has centred on researching inclusive economic development issues and facilitating capacity-building initiatives to support policymakers and regulators achieve positive development outcomes. This includes over a decade of experience collaborating with government agencies and industry experts to progress initiatives within the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) that promote regional cooperation and economic integration.
