Dr. Hyun is also a visiting scholar in the University of Southern California’s Department of Economics. He has served as a secretariat representing the Republic of Korea Korea in the ASEAN+3 Bond Market Forum, and as an economist at Bank of Korea. Dr. Hyun has likewise been a bond market specialist in charge of the Asian Bond Markets Initiative Task Force at the Japan Bank for International Cooperation. His recent research covers the internationalization of Asian currencies and developing Asian bond markets, including infrastructure and green bonds, cross-border use of currency and volatility of exchange rates, and internationalization of the financial service industry and Asian capital market development and integration.
