Taniela is a Safeguards Specialist with the Pacific Department based in Manila, where is tasked with ensuring environmental and social safeguards compliance of ADB projects in Pacific developing member economies. He has Doctorate in Environmental Management and Climate Change Policy with a focus on small island developing states, and prior to joining ADB, he worked for the Pacific Regional Environment Program, helping to draft the Pacific position for the Rio+20 conference.
