Professor Wong has over thirty years of experience in the field of water resource management and is internationally recognized for his research and practice in sustainable urban water management, particularly in water-sensitive urban design. His expertise has been gained through national and international consulting, research, and academia and leading a large number of award-winning urban design projects in Australia and overseas. He was a member of the Urban Water Advisory Panel of the National Water Commission of Australia from 2004 to 2014, and served on the Prime Minister’s Science Engineering and Innovation Council’s working group on Water for Cities in 2006-2007. From 2006 until 2011 he had an ongoing commission to provide strategic advice to the Public Utilities Board of Singapore on institutionalizing water sensitive urban design in Singapore.
