Working in the Pakistan Resident Mission, Xijie is the country focal of Pakistan for ADB’s urban operations. Prior to ADB, Xijie worked at the World Bank, where he specialized in geo-spatial analysis and provided technical support to the appraisal and implementation of urban, transport, and disaster risk reduction projects in Latin America and the People’s Republic of China. He started his career as a Junior Professional Associate at the World Bank.

Xijie holds a master’s degree in applied economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, United States and earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and environmental studies from Denison University, United States.
