Yorihisa Ohneda

First Secretary, Permanent Delegation of Japan to the OECD

Yorihisa Ohneda has been First Secretary of the Permanent Delegation of Japan to the OECD at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan since 2022. He has also been a member of the NPO Policy Garage (Public Policy Innovation Network) since 2023, where his work has included multiple regression analyses of longitudinal data on cognitive and non-cognitive skills of students in more than 180 municipalities in Japan. Prior to his current position, Yorihisa served as a director in the Saitama Prefectural Government Education Bureau, and as a deputy director in the Office for Assessment for Academic Ability and in the Office for Education Digital Transformation of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) in Japan.

Yorihisa holds a Master's degree in Economics of Education from the University of London, a Master's degree in Education from the University of Cambridge, and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Tokyo.
