Tom provides technical, economic and management advice on agriculture and livestock production, health and supply to governments, development agencies, research institutes and private sector interests. He has worked on livestock development and One Health projects in the Asia-Pacific region for over 12 years, including roles with projects funded by the ADB, the World Bank Group, UN agencies, USAID, the EU and the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research, among others. Tom is an epidemiologist with a multidisciplinary background including expertise in livestock production and health, value chain analysis and development, risk analysis, food safety and data science. Tom received his Ph.D. from the Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences, University of Melbourne he holds an M.A. from the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex and a B.A. from University College London.
