Aileen Pangilinan

Senior Economics Officer, ADB Climate Change and Sustainable Development Department

Aileen Pangilinan is a national of the Philippines. She is a Certified Public Accountant and co-authored the publication Diagnostic Study of Accounting and Auditing Practices in the Marshall Islands. Prior to joining ADB, she was a long-term consultant involved in various activities of ADB-assisted economic cooperation program for the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) such as the negotiation and finalization of the GMS Cross-Border Transport Agreement and organization of the Third GMS Summit held in Vientiane in 2008. She also conducted time release studies at selected border crossing points in the GMS. Ms. Pangilinan joined ADB’s South Asia Department in 2008 and has been involved in implementing the South Asia Subregional Economic Cooperation Program (SASEC), including finalization of the SASEC Vision Document, endorsed by Finance Ministers of SASEC countries in 2017 and implementation of the Trade Facilitation Program loan to Bangladesh, which was completed in 2016. Ms. Pangilinan attended the World Customs Organization Knowledge Academy for Customs and Trade in 2014 and the First Invitational Seminar on Trade Facilitation for Countries in Asia and the Pacific hosted by Korea Customs Service in 2016. Ms. Pangilinan is currently overseeing the trade facilitation work in SASEC countries.
