Aya Suzuki

Development Economist and Professor at the University of Tokyo

Her primary research interests are on agricultural and aquacultural production and marketing, globalization of food systems, and industrial development. In the past decade, she has studied extensively on the development of the shrimp sector in Vietnam. She was among the founding board members of the Japanese Association for Development Economics and as an editorial board member of the Asian Development Review. She obtained her Ph.D. from the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics, the University of California, Davis.
