Maria Cristina Tabing

Associate Evaluator (Consultant), ADB

Ms. Tabing coordinates validation of project completion reports with overall management from ADB's Independent Evaluation Department. She manages databases, monitors status reports, and ensures accuracy and consistency of validation reports following a strict review process from draft preparation to finalization. Previously, she has helped the Strategy, Policy and Review Department apply a new system linking ADB projects to SDG targets and indicators. She has also helped the NGO and Civil Society Center establish and maintain databases, and prepare knowledge-sharing products on civil society organizations’ participation in ADB operations through writing reports and articles.

Before joining ADB, Ms. Tabing has taught social development concepts and principles at the De La Salle University and has authored a number of textbooks including Asian History and Civilization. She has also managed Official Development Assistance (ODA)-funded projects for more than ten years in the Philippines.

Ms. Tabing was a consultant for various development projects funded by ADB, World Bank, Embassy of Japan, and AusAID. She is a Filipino and finished Master of Development Communication from University of the Philippines’ Open University and Bachelor of Science in Community Development from the University of the Philippines.
