Zulfia Karimova

Principal Regional Cooperation Specialist, ADB Central and West Asia Department

Ms. Karimova is an international development professional with diverse work experience, having worked with multilateral organizations like ADB, IMF, World Bank, UN; private sector and international NGOs, think tank/academia. Ms. Karimova has extensive experience in managing policy dialogue with senior government officials and complex programs in [sub]regional cooperation and integration (RCI), corporate finance and social sectors, as well as in strategic coordination and implementation of ADB-wide strategies and policies.

Ms. Karimova led and coordinated multi-stakeholder and cross-sectoral efforts in the conceptualization and design of innovative development initiatives for ADB operations. She coordinates diverse range of RCI, trade and investment, capacity development, and co-financing. She manages RCI projects in the People's Republic of China, Mongolia, and subregional trade initiatives in the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program and Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS).
